ALPA Project Presentations, November 17, 2015
Eleven participants in Yarmouth’s Advocacy Leadership for Positive Aging (ALPA) program have been working on six fieldwork projects that they have designed to address local issues related to aging. They reported on progress with the projects at their program graduation celebration held at the Yarmouth Senior Center. The national Life Planning Network’s six-session ALPA curriculum prepares service providers to be advocacy leaders who empower client life planning and self-management. The program was offered with funding support from the Tufts Health Foundation, in conjunction with Yarmouth’s Age Friendly Community Initiative.
